The first thing one notices when driving up to Pisac are the stunning Incan ruins that crown the top of the mountainside just behind the city. The Incans were builders and historians are still at a loss to how these people managed to build these structures, with the technolodgy they had, so high on the mountain.
Wow:
Making my way up the mountain (it was quite a hike):
The view from the highest point:
The Inca's are famous for their terrace farming which showed an advanced understanding of agriculture and plumbing:
Pretty good look out tower if you ask me:
The rock structures still stand today, they must have been doing something right:
Sooooo jealous. Is it weird that one of the reasons I'm most excited to go to Argentina is to eat at this Peruvian restaurant there that I love? :)
