The Incan Ruins in Pisac
The first thing one notices when driving up to Pisac are the stunning Incan ruins that crown the top of the mountainside just behind the city. The Incans were builders and historians are still at a loss to how these people managed to build these structures, with the technolodgy they had, so high on the mountain.
Wow:
Making my way up the mountain (it was quite a hike):
The view from the highest point:
The Inca's are famous for their terrace farming which showed an advanced understanding of agriculture and plumbing:
Pretty good look out tower if you ask me:
The rock structures still stand today, they must have been doing something right:

Un Despacho
Un Despacho: a Andean traditional offering to Pacha Mama (mother earth in Quechua ((language of the mountain people))). Basically, with a guide, we ceremoniously blessed certain objects with out intentions and then offered them to the mountains. It was cool, some of the objects (the spider man cookie?) we were slightly skeptical about the earth appreciating, but it was all with good intention.
The offering: Underneath all of the colorful stuff were seads, leaves, grains that I appreciated :)
With fire, offering our gifts and intentions:
The walk to and from: My camera literally could not take a bad picture... :)
Marni's (my friend) home and altar: very special

Pisac the Town
Pisac is a small village, 30 minutes outside of Cusco (the ancient Incan Capital) where life is slow and simple. It was so refreshing to get away from Lima and just take in my new surroundings :)
View from my Door Step (seriosuly):
You know, just lying out my corn to dry in the sun:
The Streets of a village:
The famous Market (can be dangerous for those who like colorful, shiny objects):

Downtown Lima
With care: I was actually robbed later this day....don't walk alone (all is well, only lost my cellphone but no more solo camera adventures)
Other then the thieves ;) downtown is incredble. It is like an old circus town. The buildings are all painted very brightly but after years of neglect they look CRAZY.
Yellow....
